Take the opportunity to savor the local specialties such as reindeer meat in all its variations - dried, smoked, grilled or cooked ? perhaps combined with locally produced Japanese Shii-take mushrooms, actually being cultivated in the depths of LKAB?s mine.
Ptarmigan, charr and cloudberries are other specialties found in this part of Sweden, and Kiruna offers a wide range of restaurants. Exclusive or simple, you make the choice. If you are in the mood for a hamburger, pizza or kebab, this is definitely not a problem, and even here you will find local specialties.

The same variety pertains to lodging. You can live exotically and cool at Icehotel during the winter.
